I remember more than 5 years ago, my former boss asked me to take an assessment in which it aims to identify my competency strengths and weaknesses. I was asked to select from a long list of competencies. I vividly remember that I identified dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty” as the least of my competency.

First Quarter Storm

The first quarter of the year is usually the busiest for me at work. To be honest, any time of the year is always busy if you work in HR like me. As early as December last year I’ve mentally prepared myself to brace on endless meetings, longer working hours, while squeezing my personal obligations and responsibilities in between. I love new years. It’s like opening a shiny new notebook with blank pages awaiting to be written. You can also compare it to starting a chapter in a new book that you’ve been longing to begin. New years are like rest buttons that you need to start anew. At the same time, it also means reflecting on the past year in order to start your year right.

Good bye, Twenty-Something

There are so many reasons why I love the month of November. Its the month of transitioning holidays: from end of Halloween to start of Christmas countdown. If you’ve been to Tokyo or somewhere with four seasons, November is the perfect time to see the autumn leaves. And personally, I love November because its my birth month. 💖
