[Beauty] #FOTD Holiday Glam Look feat. Top Beauty Brands

holidayglamlook

Hey there! I hope everyone’s holidays were fun and wonderful. 💝🎄 My family and I spent the Christmas season in Subic, Zambales and of course I was able to bring my beauty kit to glam up the holidays! 😛

I was able to come up with 3 glam looks using top beauty brands that I got from my lovely sister. Continue reading below to see which products I used! 😍

To be honest, I don’t splurge on high-end makeup products. But thank God for generous souls like my sister, she usually pass on makeup products that I can use and review.  I’m really happy that I got these gorgeous beauty products in time for Christmas! 🌟

Base and Face Makeup

First off, I’m totally loving this Vitalumiere Satin Fluid Makeup from Chanel. I love the minty scent and buttery feel of the foundation. The coverage is from light to medium, and it gives a perfect glow in my face. The shade that I have is in 30 Cendre-Shell. The shade that I got creates a “second skin” look to to my face (aka my skin tone but better 😉).

This Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette is everything that I need to achieve my holiday glam look. In this palette, there are 4 highlight shades to choose from, plus a cream contour shade and a powder contour sculpt. I love that the contour shades perfectly add shape to my face and the highlight shades vary from subtle to intense glow. ✨

Blush and Cheeks Makeup

I brought 2 blush makeup with me in Subic: the Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon Powder Blush Harmony and the YSL Blush Volupte – Heart of Light Powder Blush. What I like about the Chanel blush is that you can create a pigment from coral, light pink, up to a mauve pink in color. On the other hand, I like YSL’s glimmery pink color tone finish. Also, you can use both of this product as an eye makeup too! 😄

Eye Makeup

For the eyes, I used the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow in 232 Tisse Venitien. I’ve used this quad eyeshadow before in one of my makeup look last year. What I like about this palette is that it blends well and helps me achieve the shimmery eye look that I want especially this season.

Lip Makeup

What I noticed about high-end lip products is that most of their formulas are shiny and moisturizing. My early 20s self wouldn’t appreciate it, but now I’m all for moisturizing and plump-y lips look. 😛💋 The Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in 165 Eblouissante is a perfect every day red shade. The red pigment of this lippie also suits the Christmas season. On the other hand, the YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-in-Stick in 48 Smoking Plum is very moisturizing and very soft on the lips. The color payoff is sheer but I love that it has an MLBB effect on my face.

Side note: I forgot to include the Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo Complete Care Lip Shine in 208 Roman! My bad! The packaging is like a lip pen and it has a very intense color yet very buttery and moisturizing the lips. 💋

And now we go to the #FOTD that I created! 😍😍😍 I was able to come up with 3 makeup looks to wear and test these top beauty products. Here we go!

Look #1 – Sunkissed Holiday

IMG_0330

We only have 2 seasons in the PH 🇵🇭: rainy and sunny season. Going to Subic on the month of December is absolutely perfect because of its warm sunny afternoon while a bit cold and windy in the evening. 🌤 🌬 I made this first look when we went to the All Hands Beach in the afternoon for a family photo by the shore line.

In this look, I mix corals and pinks using the Chanel Sunkiss Ribbon blush and the Chanel Rouge Coco Stylo in Roman. 💕

Look #2 – Green and Plum on a Christmas Morning

In this second look, I used the Chanel Quad Eyeshadow in Tisse Venitien, YSL Heart of Light Blush, and the YSL Rouge Shine Lip in Smoking Plum. We went to church on Christmas morning and had a family photo wearing white top. To celebrate Christmas and since the pantone color of 2017 is greenery, I made a soft green accent on my eyes while shiny plum lips to compliment my overall makeup look. 💖

Look #3 – Christmas Eve Holiday Glam Look

For my third and final look, I decided to level up and use the colors purple, blue, and red to glam up the Christmas eve. For the eyes, I used the Maybelline The City Mini Eyeshadow Palette in Graffitti. I wanted something dramatic on my eyes and I matched it with the Chanel Rouge Allure in Eblouissante, dabbed with MAC Liptensity Lipstick in Dionysus in the middle of my lips to achieve an ombre lip look. I also used the YSL Heart of Light blush and intensified my face with the Tarteist PRO Glow Highlight & Contour Palette. Talk about GLOW and GLAM in this look! I super love how this look turned out on my face! 💗💗💗

Overall, what I love about using top beauty brands is that it is high performing and you’ll never get disappointed with color pay off and formula. The only #ProTip that you need to remember is to do your research prior purchasing and read the reviews from beauty experts. Of course, you don’t have to splurge on beauty products (unless you have the $$$ to spend, lol!), drug store or mid range beauty products are promising as well. Always remember that practice makes purr-fect to achieve a glamorous makeup look.

Did you enjoy this blog post? Let me know if you do! Happy Holidays! xoxo
